Ten ways to make your band’s myspace page more appealing

1. Pick a color scheme and stick with it.

I’ve seen one too many bands with a color scheme of 8 different shades of red and 6 different shades of gray. Most of them look terrible and are hard to look at. The first thing you need to do is pick a color scheme that actually looks good. If you need some help finding just the right color check out a new website by Adobe called Kuler that lets users submit and rank color schemes, there are tons of excellent colors schemes to choose from.

Once you have that done, make note of what colors they are in both RGB and their Hexidecimal form (#FF3300). Don’t deviate from these colors and don’t substitute for just <font color=”red”>. Remember: Nice colors can go a long way.

TIP: If you want the color of a specific logo or image on your myspace but only have the image you can pick the color off the image and turn it into a hexidecimal code with a free program called iconico color pic
